But if you need help you can PM me on the WD Community site (I'm under the same name) and I'll walk you through getting things working.Twonky Media Twonky Server 8.5 Skip to end of metadata Go to start of metadata New Features Additional nodes in music navigation tree added node music/date, which groups music into era (like 60s, 70s, ...) added node music/format, which lists music by file extension, sample frequency and bits per sample Web UI with mobile-specific features fullscreen slideshows on Android and improved on i OS fullscreen video playback on mobile devices and tablets twonkyserver.auto redirects to the locally installed Twonky Server.
Here's exactly the kind of thing that WD's tech cannot help with......I do agree, it took me a 2-3 setups to finally come up with a final NAS setup (users, shares, access, etc) which I liked. I managed to find some useful info from the WD user guide,: Getting Started Without the Online Setup Installer If you do not use the online setup installer to get started, you can still: Use your WD My Cloud personal cloud storage device as an external hard drive, dragging and dropping files to and from it.These devices as most NAS devices, run some kind of Linux flavors, in my case, it is a Linux Lenny. Configure the device using the WD My Cloud device’s dashboard.Twonky Server is used worldwide and is available as a standalone server (end user installable, e.g. Download beta = It could be a Beta, RC(Release Candidate) or an Alpha / Nightly / Unstable version of the software.for PCs/Macs) or an embedded server for devices such as NAS, routers/gateways and STBs. Download = The software is bundled with advertising.
First off chaps, about the only thing I can turn off on WD dashboard software is the Twonky Media Server, but from what I have read from and here https://uk/improving-the-...d-mycloud/ and here the Indexing that is in use on this unit can bring it down to it's knees.
